We commenced with our annual fabric, books and notions fundraiser after Kevin’s speech, agreeing to “be adults” and not fight over the goods….
And wrapped up the day showing projects that members finished as part of the UFO challenge…
Our meeting of the Maine Modern Quilters was held on September 26,2015 At L/A College in Lewiston. The program featured Ron Blake, who gave us a very informative talk on threads. Hi wife, Lisa, judged the Tula Pink block of the month quilts.

Rhonda Galpern, Modern Sewist with Sew Fresh FabricsQuilt Shop of Ipswich, MA will be doing a lively and educational Trunk Show Presentation: “Sewing Modern with your Stash: Integrating Modern Fabrics and Designs with your Current Fabric Selection”.
Rhonda, wearing a green top and big smile, is in the Sew Fresh Fabrics booth at the Quilters Gathering Quilt Show in Manchester, NH 2013. Such a talented lady! Sew Fresh Fabrics had a booth at the 2013 Maine Quilt Show in Augusta.
Seating is limited to 40 people. All tickets are purchased through Cindy Visbaras, Maine Modern Quilt Guild, VP of Communication.
Tickets in advance are $15 and must be purchased by April 1st. Tickets at the door are $20. All tickets are non-refundable. Returned checks will have an over-draft fee of $30.00.
The latest, beautiful fabrics from modern quilt designers will be available for purchase at this event.
To be included in the modern fat quarter drawing, bring one FQ of modern fabric. Bring along your Show and Tell, especially if you have used non-modern fabrics in a modern style quilt.
